Cape Pure Mathematics is a course that is both rigorous and demanding of the student who undertakes to pursue its study!  Such rigors tend to deter students studying this course.  However the enormous advantage of a 'Solid Mathematics Foundation' which the student will possess on completion of this course cannot be disputed!  So solid is this foundation that all students can be assured that it will prepare them for what lies ahead in spite of their varying career paths.

What is in store for the student?

Lots of new knowledge!  Many hours of study, it may even mean a few sleepless nights, challenges like none other, but all that can be overcome with time, patience, dedication and a raw desire to acquire new knowledge and skill sets.

A successful student in this course is one who:

  1.  Attends all classes, as much as it is humanly possible.
  2.  Offers meaningful contributions to the class by way of discussion of ideas or demonstration of skills
        they possess.
  3.  Makes a concerted effort to attempt all assignments and test to the best of their ability.
  4.  Sets goals!
  5.  Is not satisfied with just doing enough.
  6.  Is determined to improve on previous performances.
  7.  Craves understanding and knowledge.
  8.  Tries and tries again.
  9.  Engages in serious self study using as many of the available resources as is possible.

What are your goals for this course, your intended outcome?  Think on these things...
